Benicia's School Bands Win Big |

This past weekend the Benicia High School Panther Band attended the 14th Annual Extravaganza of Bands at Encinal High School. Two concert bands, a marching band, a drumline, a colorguard and a drum major competed for Benicia High.Marching Band completed a clean sweep of the competition. They took sweepstakes in Music, Showmanship, and Marching by achieving the overall highest scores in each category. The Colorguard continued its undefeated streak in parade ccompetition by scoring 96.5 and earning Auxiliary Sweepstakes. The Wind Ensemble continued its 4 year undefeated success by taking Concert Sweepstakes. The Drumline, Drum Major and Symphonic Band received 2nd place. The Benicia Middle School band did extremely well on Saturday also. They took 1st place in Parade and earned Music Sweepstakes. The band took Concert Sweepstakes as well.Congratulations!
