The Solano County Office of Education is delighted to announce that Bud Donaldson, a math teacher at Liberty High School, was selected as the 2010 Solano County Teacher of the Year.A reception honoring the Teachers of the Year selected by each Solano County school district was held at the Solano County Office of Education on Wednesday, October 14. It is an honor to be selected as the educator to represent our district for the year and an even bigger honor to represent all the teachers in Solano County in the California Teacher of the Year program. The purpose of this program is to pay tribute to the tireless efforts of our outstanding local teachers.Congressman George Miller gave a contribution to support this program. Donaldson will receive $1,000 to use in his classroom and $1,000 will go to the district to use as needed. Bud Donaldson will now go on to represent the county in a state competition later in the year.
