The Solano County Office of Education’s Youth Development, Support and Leadership Services is applying for a Tobacco-Use Prevention Education Grant through the California Department of Education. The grant is designed to reduce youth tobacco use through prevention, intervention, and cessation programs, as well as youth development strategies (including extra-curricular academic programs, the arts and other special projects). If funded, SCOE will be able to provide services to your high schools (Benicia, Liberty, Vanden, Travis Community Day and Travis Education Center) and your middle schools (Benicia and Golden West). Please take a few moments to complete the survey and/or share the link with others and provide your thoughts on the scope of the problem relating to youth tobacco use and suggestions for improvement.
