Transitional Kindergarten is a program that the Benicia Unified School District would like to offer to students turning five on or between November 2nd and December 2nd. However, as part of the state budget cuts there is a proposal to eliminate state funding for the Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Program. BUSD would like to know how many parents would like their child considered for the 2012-13 TK program in the Benicia Unified School District should we offer it.

Occasionally, parents of children who are eligible for Kindergarten decide to wait a year before enrolling their child. If your child is born before November 2nd and you are interested in enrolling them in the TK class, please complete the form below.

The TK program is a two-year program and if a child is accepted in TK this year, the child will enter Kindergarten in the 2013-14 school year. Placement of children in a TK class is based on residency and space availability in the program.
