On Saturday, May 5th, 2012 Matthew Turner Elementary School will host its Annual Dinner, Dance & Auction, Fiesta del Año. This year's event will feature the flair of Cinco de Mayo as well as the flavor of other latin cultures. Enjoy one of the year's largest and most successful gala events. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. when guests can enjoy themed drinks and tasty appetizers while viewing the Silent Auction. Dinner and the Live Auction follow and then we celebrate with dessert and dancing, 9:30 to midnight!

This event is the school's largest fundraiser each year. The auction boasts over 250 items; guests can bid on a full range of items such as gift certificates, local restaurants, professional services, health and beauty products and much more.

A WORTHY CAUSE

On any given day at Matthew Turner Elementary School, you'll discover budding artists creating masterpieces and future scientists engaged in their latest experiment. You will notice the smiling faces of our students as they are encouraged to become original thinkers, to discover their unique voices, and to soar. There are few causes as worthy as education. Matthew Turner Elementary School is poised to set the stage for developing the leaders of tomorrow.

Your support of our annual auction will help sorely under-funded enrichment programs such as art programs, academic assemblies, computer equipment and some basic audio/visual equipment. Our students are natural multi-taskers, fluent in technologies undreamed of a generation ago. Classroom technology such as computers and audio/visual equipment enable our students to learn with a global perspective. All proceeds go directly to our school to fund programs that enhance our children's education and to protect vital resources as budget cuts loom larger than ever.
